recording we did of Monster

Published by four14 under Uncategorized

The mood I had when I was reading Monster was okay. I was just talking in a talking tone. I should of changed my voice a little bit. Like when i was asking questions in the story, i should of went kind of high pitch when i did it. But, it don’t matter. I can’t change it now. I feel pretty good about everybody’s recording. We all sounded pretty good. There was some funny parts of some people. But, it was good.

Effect of jail on Steve

Published by four14 under Uncategorized

The effect of jail on Steve is big because it changed him, because he hates it there. Also, just saying jail just kills your spirit. Really. also, it justs changes you so much. You just don’t know who to trust and who to believe. You just get really confused for a while. But, most of the time you have to do alot when you get out of jail.Like my brotha, he had pay people back and do a whole lot of stuff when he went out of jail.

!Let Juvies free!

Published by four14 under Uncategorized

I don’t believe juveniles should be put in adult prisons when they commit a serious crime because juveniles still have their whole life ahead of them, and adults don’t have as much time. Juveniles can be taught lessons more than adults and it doesn’t have to be as harsh as adults. That is because juveniles usually don’t want to go to jail, and thay’re usually very sorry for it. But anyways, they shouldn’t be put in adult prisons and be charged as an adult. The debate we read/heard was saying that Abraham shouldn’t be charged as an adult, but most of the other people was saying that he’s been caught numerous times, and that kid’s brains haven’t developed to understand their consequences.Abraham was charged with second degree murder and was sent to juvie for 10 years. The judge ruled that when he turns 18, he won’t be sent to be with adults. Abraham and Steve from Monster connects because they’re both being charged and are forced to go to trial for murder. But, the big difference is that the younger you are, the less time you do, and Abraham was 11 when he commited the crime, and he was 13 when he was on trial, and Steve is 16 and is 16 going up for trial, so if Steve is guilty, then he will usually be charged with a bigger sentence. But, they’re problem is almost the same. They’re both juveniles being put up for murder.

!!!Monster!!!

Published by four14 under Uncategorized

What we read today was about 16 year old Steve Harmon. He was just going to trial. He was with two other people accused of murdering a store owner. The prosecuters were accusing Steve also of murdering the store owner. But, what his defense attorney was saying that he only checked out the store to see if the coast was clear for the two guys. Steve is writing this whole thing for a movie. He hates the Manhattan Detention Center that he is in there everyday.

kids should never look to friends for acceptence because friends come and go and your family will always be there. Peer pressure sometimes isn’t negative because it will help you out sometimes. Kids try to get other kids to bad stuff and get them f’d up. All the people that put other people down are inconsiderate of themselves. It’s hard to say no to any friend because their your friends but it’s not to me because I’m my own man and I can do anything and if anyone says no to someone now, anything could happen to them.
